ImageAs President and CEO of MW Leadership Consultants LLC, Dr. Margot Weinstein is a noted authority on commercial real estate and technology. By combining her expertise from her business success, her education, and her interviews with 150 real estate leaders including Sam Zell of Equity Group Investments and Barbara Corcoran of Corcoran Group, she has helped thousands of professionals throughout the US, Europe, and China acquire a competitive edge in today’s dynamic real estate business.

For over thirty years, she was vice president of the Kingston Group Inc., a multi-million dollar commercial real estate company. Margo currently serves on the FIABCI Technology Committee in its search for the best technology tools for real estate professionals. She has earned two masters’ degrees and a doctoral degree. She holds the CIPS and TRC designations and is the author of over 80 publications. Effective Email Communication

  1. The protocol for dealing with different cultures applies to email communication; for example, the Chinese are quite formal with their email messages.
  2. To communicate by email with high-level people in other parts of the world, Weinstein adapts a formal letter style; she runs grammar and spelling checks and sends herself a trial copy to see how the format travels.
  3. In the subject heading for email, include your name and something eye-catching to get the recipient's attention.
  4. Barbara Corcoran claims that her favorite words in business are, "You can reach me best by email;" business is moving in the direction of depending on email for conversations and sending documents.
