Excerpt from: Real Estate Industry Leader's Roundtable

| June 17, 2008 | | In this interview he discuses "Exciting, Neat Net Tricks!" | |
Early in
1996, Jack Teems began producing a monthly email called Neat Net Tricks
to an audience that rapidly grew to 100,000 readers in more than 145 countries.
The Neat Net Tricks "empire" expanded to include his web site
NeatNetTricks.com, a forum resolving a multitude of technical questions, and a
Software Review Panel to review and provide detailed reports on many programs.
Jack's light-hearted advice has been featured in Yahoo! Internet Life
magazine, Steam Tunnels (a weekly periodical that reaches over 2 million
readers on 130 university and college campuses), and other national, regional,
and local publications. Jack has been heard on CBS radio affiliate stations, PBS
radio and several Internet radio stations.
Jack emphasizes that he is
not a computer guru. He fashions himself rather as a collector of tips and
suggests that Neat Net Tricks' success is because the publication
refrains from being deeply technical. Ever mindful of demands on readers' time,
he provides each issue of his “Tricks” in short bits, easily digestible in one
sitting.
In his real estate interview at
Real Estate CyberSpace
Radio he discusses the
following real estate information:
Crime
Stoppers
- FindMyCreditCard can be
used to find and erase any personal information on your computer, such as credit
card data and login information; it is surprising how much compromising identity
information can accumulate on your hard drive.
- Craig’s Number [now
Numbr] is a resource to avoid using your own telephone number; you get a
temporary number for your email or advertisements that can be alive for an hour,
day or week; the service forwards messages to your real number.
- FelonSpy lets you check
your neighborhood for people with criminal records; type in your address, and a
map is displayed showing where criminals reside in your area; Teems is not
certain of how legitimate this search site is.
In this
briefing he also covers the following useful real estate

- How Teems

- Computer
