Real Estate Blogging Power
- Blogging offers real
estate professionals the real estate tools to raise their position with
search engines; search engines look at blogs as they do regular web sites-the
constant updating of a blog is an advantage.
- Blogging also allows an
agent or broker to establish themselves as an authority on their marketplace; by
expressing your opinions about issues, you become a thought leader.
- The more local the
topics on a real estate blog are (e.g., controversy over zoning that might
change home values), the more interest they are likely to generate among a
defined audience.
- Include your MLS
listings on your blog-for example, "Hot Listings of the Day"-as a way to get
people to your registration page; if you have permission, include listings of
other agents.
- The primary goal on the
Internet is to build up your list because that is where the money is; once you
have a list that you can control, you have a chance to establish direct
communication with people; the blog is just an introduction to you.
