In 2001, Cary introduced the current business model for dining certificate sales, offering $25 dining certificates at restaurants for $10 directly through Restaurant.com. In late 2004, Chessick complemented the offering by introducing Dining Dough, a Restaurant.com subsidiary and redemption-only site that allows businesses to use dining certificates as sales incentives, customer acquisition offerings and client gifts.
