Tim O'Keefe is president and CEO of Spider Juice Technologies, Inc. Tim was raised in a family of developers, mortgage brokers and real estate agents. His company offers online marketing services based on what he wished he had back when he sold real estate himself. Tim is an expert blogger and offers tips to help us not only blog, but blog and capture traffic and leads.

Tim uses his blog as a method to offer opinion and techniques to help real estate professionals capture more business. Because of his own online marketing, Tim is well known around the Net for his unique insights.

When not blogging or helping real estate agents, Tim enjoys spending time with his family. An ex-college football player, in the fall he keeps busy in his off hours coaching a youth football team.

In his real estate interview at Real Estate CyberSpace Radio he provides the following real estate insight:

Getting People to Your Blog

  1. The concept of syndication gives blogs an advantage over regular web sites; blog software has RSS or XML syndication so that whenever a posting goes up, it can be pulled automatically into people's readers and other web sites; the result is a natural accumulation of inbound links to your site from blog directories.
  2. Among the best known blogging platforms are Blogger.com (or BlogSpot), a free program from Google; users can create an account with Google hosting or with their own host.
  3. Alternatives that O'Keefe prefers, though not free, are Movable Type and TypePad from the same company; TypePad runs on the company's server, but Movable Type software can be run on your own server.
  4. WordPress is another good free service; Radio UserLand is an older system that still has value.
