Keep Track of the Cap Locks Key!

A neat trick hidden in your control panel!

tips imageHave you ever typed six lines of text before you discovered that the Caps Lock on your keyboard was on? Some folks are often tempted to cuss when this happens – and we’d bet it has happened to you. Here’s a little trick that will alert you when you have accidentally turned the Caps lock on. This works in Windows XP and a slight variation will get you set up on other operating systems.

Open the Control Panel (“Start" and then "Control Panel"). Click "Accessibility Options". Click “Keyboard”. Check "Use ToggleKeys". Click "OK" and close the Control Panel.

Now you have a private butler who will ring a little bell when you accidentally hit that Caps Lock key.
